Obedience Classes
MAKC offers two levels of dog obedience training.
Beginning Obedience:
The beginning class is open to any dog, though we prefer to see them be at least 3 months old. In this class you will learn to work with your dog through a series of excercises found in obedience competition. This will include heeling, sit, down, stay, stand for exam, and recall. You will also get a brief introduction to agility equipment. This class meets on Wednesday evenings, from 6:30 - 7:15, in the Lang Building at the Marshfield Fair Grounds. The class meets for seven weeks, with the first week being an orientation session (no dogs). The cost of this class is $75. Our next class begins on March 7, 2012.
Advanced Obedience:
Advance obedience classes are held in the fall and winter. Classes are held Wednesday nights from 5:30-6:30, and are for people looking to compete with their dogs or to continue to work on more control of their dogs. We will be working on off leash handling, perfecting your dog for the companion dog, open, and utility titles.
